Hey!
I was wondering if anyone else here liked drawing. Although I'd never take it up as a career (my skills are hardly adequate :P) I do enjoy doing it and I find it helps me develop my storylines. I sometimes post my stuff here on DeviantArt: http://alnia.deviantart.com/ but it sucks for writing since hardly anyone reads the writing section or if they do, never give critiques. If you have an account, link me too it and I can give my opinion if you want :)
So, does anyone else here draw in any way, shape or form? (Stickmen included)

I used to draw anime and some retro cartoons (the style such as Flinstones and Jetsons). Then I reached that point where I was too self-critical about my art and can't draw.
I do however dabble in photography, which gives me inspiration too.

I do draw, but I never show people my drawings . . . I don't really know why, though.
My favourite way of expressing my ideas, outside of writing them, is to paint them. Painting always makes me feel calm, and I like the way you can create something out of the colours, so getting inspiration for stories works well with it, for me. :)

I love painting, especially oil paints. I wish I had more time to paint; hopefully I will next year, since I'm applying for a minor in visual art - if I get a spot in the program, I get a studio space in the attic of the art building at my school! This is exciting.

I used to draw a lot. I haven't in a while, although I still like it. I'm overly critical of myself so not much makes it to where I actually like it. :p

(And now that I'm looking at my stuff, I realize I never posted the colored versions. Ah well.)

Oh, wow! So there are people here who are on there! I am going to look through your guy's galleries more thoroughly, I only got a glance before but from what I saw... all of you are waaaaay better than me O_O
ScottyMcGee, you're good with a camera!
Lykaios, your painting is.... VERY, VERY good.
Isis, I wish I was as good at realism as you are :S
Majyk... your art is just... plain awesome :_:
I'll get around to seeing more! (When I'm not doing school :S)
I like to draw in my spare time, yeah. I like to do sketched of characters from my stories. I have posted a few of my drawings on here in the art section, actually. :)

I used to post a bunch of stuff on elfwood, but then I started to get critical of myself, so I took the account down :(

I know Elfwood too, back when I first started using the internet, but I never really posted anything, just looked around. But I have not checked it out for over half a year or so now :/
I didn't even know they had an art section! Which forum is it in?

I was interested in drawing a lot last year, and I wanted to draw a manga before I decided that writing would be a better medium to convey my story, mainly because I didn't have the skill, or attention span to draw all those panels (it must be awful to be a comic artist.) But anyway, here are some of my pictures:

A very very very long time ago I used to draw. I thought that I could learn drawing and try to be good at it and so on, but then I met my best friend and she can draw so good that I just stopped doing that, because I understood that there is no way I could draw like her. But now I want to return to drawing for some reason :)

I draw sometimes. Whenever the urge twitches at me. That's not to say that my drawings are good, though; usually, they can nicely be called 'abstract'.
