I know this is a newb forum, but, considering I have been away for three months, I'm just about justified posting this here.

So yes, my first term at Oxford was pretty manic, meaning that I barely managed to come on here at all, yet alone do anythng useful i.e crit. But, seeing as I've now settled in to the university way of life and it's the holidays, I feel that it's time to get back into the game :) ! Therefore, if you have anything at all that you'd like critiquing just drop me a message; the more the merrier :D . I look forward to reading some cool stuff.

xx

Oxford? :O You must be smart. Welcome back, I suppose would be the appropriate thing to say, and what are you studying?

I know exactly what you mean. My first sem at uni too. To say it was hectic would be an understatement. Oh well, now that you're back, welcome! You seem to know the ropes already, so I won't bother to elaborate. Hope to see some of your work soon! Oh, and what genre do you write?

Thank you all for the welcomes back :) . Lots of questions, I shall try and answer them all in one post:

@Soleil: I'm studying a Philosophy, Politics, and Economics degree (PPE for short) it's pretty interesting and quite possibly explains why some of my work has a political subtext. Although at times I do feel that studying English Literature may have been a tad more fun and would have justified coming on here a bit! What are you doing currently education-wise?

@jcsk88: I know, uni life is far crazier than I imagined it to be! I mostly write slightly surrealist stuff, grounded in reality but tending to head off elsewhere: a la Murakami, (to a lesser extent) Ballard, and Palahnuik. I like to read modernist works and fantasy too though; I'm just not great at writing them. What do you like to write?

Lastly I'll repeat my previous offer: free crit tickets to all! :)

Welcome to YWO! The name's Will. Oxford? That's a very nice school. What do you think of your courses there?

Other than that, just follow the rules and be nice. With that, you'll do fine. I'll see you around and stuff.
