Hi - I'm new here. But I would just assume you all have that figured out already...

um... about me? well, I'm in high school. I'm pretty sheltered, but I like my life. I have a bunch of amazing friends, most of whom are into some sort of art form. I like to draw, as well as write and read pretty much anything I can get my hands on. I ask a lot of questions, and when I get excited or mad or annoyed or really any sort of emotion really - I squeak. I actually enjoy school most of the time. I work in my church library, I really love going to church and to my youth group, and I love Ted Dekker's books. I think horror films are disgusting. I used to love fantasy books and movies but I'm getting pickier as I get older. I've always wanted a pet rat or mouse, but I'm stuck with a fish instead. I think normal is boring. I'm pretty happy with who I am.

My writing.... I've been writing stories since before I can remember, but in the last few years it's become an obsession and I think it's what I want to do for the rest of my life. The only thing I ever have trouble with is finishing things - I tend to get a new idea every few days, so I start lots of new projects and hardly ever finish anything! that's really why I joined this site, because I want to meet people who love writing, and so there will be some pressure to finish longer stories.

so there... you now know way more about me than you probably ever wanted to :)

Don't worry--you'll eventually finish something if you really want to. I used to be unable to finish anything, and now I have multiple novels done. What genre do you like writing? I'm into fantasy.

You're not alone in that struggle. And yes, this site is good motivation to finish writing your incomplete novels. Critique stuff and put up your own work. You'll see where the feedback gets you. Oh, and welcome to YWO!
