I would like to start off by saying that this is certainly one of the best books I have ever read. It's about a young teen who has just inherited a 1940's radio from his dead grandmother. When he goes to sleep one night with the radio on, he comes in contact with a young spirit named Jimmy. This scared the teen, Martin, but when he goes to sleep with the radio on again, he is transported back to 1940 during the London Blitz along with Jimmy. I won't give away the rest, it's a huge shocker. Please, give this book a try! It won the Virginia Readers Choice Award for 2009-2010. I highly recommend this book.
