What is your favorite novel of any genre? I have a large love for Little Women, David Copperfield, A Tale Of Two Cities, and, most importantly, The Five People You Meet In Heaven.

My favourite novel literally becomes whatever I'm reading that moment... Besides the obsession I had with Harry Potter, nothing sticks out.

Though, I did really love The Five People You Meet In Heaven. It's up high on my list, for sure.

I loved Little Women back when I read it in middle school. It was adorable.

A Tale of Two Cities keeps calling my name to be read since I adore the musical lol. I think my favourite novel would have to be Lolita by Vladimir Nabakov, his manipulation of the reader's opinion towards a figure of taboo is so clever and his writing style so lyrical and in tune with my aesthetic appreciations. <3

It had to be The Shining!
I'm so uysed to kid's books, this was a shock to the system.
It was so good. It chilled, and Jack was such an amazing character, he was so well written.

We Need To Talk About Kevin by Lionel Shriver has to be the most fantastic book in the world. Oh, and also, The Book Thief by Marcus Zusak is really thought-provoking.

I had a huge thing for Harry Potter too. I was convinced I was going to Hogwarts when I was eleven. ^^

The World According To Garp by John Irving is one I read recently and I loved it. There aren't many books I ever want to re-read, but I'm definitely going to read that again. That's about the only one that sticks out at the moment.

Gregor the Overlander has to be one of my favorite books at the moment. I noticed that when a chapter ended, there was always a cliff hanger at the end of it, so I ended up reading the whole book in one day.

Ah. .

I love how I only posted on this thread just to say that.

I'd have to say my favorite book is The Giver or Gathering Blue by Lois Lowry. I loved it's detail and it was very well written. I am also a big fan of Ted Dekker's books though, so Blessed Child comes in with a close 2nd place!

My Favorite has to be The Book Thief. The life as a young child in Nazi Germany is not an easy one, and Mark Zusak showed it perfectly. Unlike many other books, this one ends as a not so happy ending. It's a tear-jerker, for sure. Atleast for me, it was.

Probably my favorite book of all time is Thr3e by Ted Dekker. It just has that right blend of mystery, action, gripping suspense, and a bit of philosophy.

Pride and Predjudice was VERY good, if a little slow at times.

I LOVED Blessed Child by Dekker. The sequel was good, but it couldn't compare to the first book.
Thr3e scared the wits out of me. I threw it at the wall and didn't sleep for a week. but that was a while ago, so maybe I'll try it again sometime ;)

And Harry Potter..... bloody brilliant...

You should finish Thr3e. The ending will blow you away. No joke.

Narnia, without a doubt, is my favorite series of all time. Favorite book, though? Hrrrm... probably Skullduggery Pleasant still.

I'm also putting "Nightlight" up on my list somewhere - it's a take-off of Twilight, and it's pretty hilarious.

"The Conqueror Worms" by Brian Keene.

I've read it too many times to count.

Sea monsters, giant man eating worms, murderous mermaids, blood thirsty cultists, and rains that never stop pouring? Hell yeah!

Gotta love post-apocalyptic horror.

Heartbeat and the Wanderer by Sharon Creech are both absolutely amazing books. They're not my usual and they aren't filled with great action or anything but I love them anyway. I highly recommend both of them.

1984 by George Orwell is my favorite novel. It's the only one I've read 4 or 5 times. But that's for all time. My current favorite is The House of the Stag by Kage Baker.

My favourite book would be the Pendulum of Fucau (I'm not that sure about the name in english, sorry). The author is Umberto Eco. :)

The Digital Plague, by Jeff Somers. I liked it better than the Electric Church. Sequals can be epic.

I read a lot of stories many times, so I'm not sure which ones are my favourite. From my childhood I've loved the Anne of Green Gables series though. I checked the whole series out of the library twice when I was young. That's a lot, seeing as I don't use the library anymore now.

I like Little Women too =)

I don't have a favorite novel, but I have a favorite series Pendragon by D.J. Machale.

There's really way too many to choose from...I love many, many books.

As of recently, though, I discovered my love for the His Dark Materials trilogy by Philip Pullman. Those are some really amazing books...I left them alone due to the ravings of unduly prudish and/or dogmatic critics, and I'm paying for it now. Mr. Pullman is an amazing author.

My favorite stand alone novel, though? I'd have to say Paper Towns by John Green, which just blew me out of the water when I read it last year--I had no idea YA lit could be that perceptive and, well, intelligent, moving, funny, and weird. I could go on...

Neil Gaiman is beyond awesome as well.
