hey, im new here 2, but not every new person needs to say hello to the world. Trying to stand out makes you all the same.

Huh?

Hi . . . I think . . .

Do you want me to welcome you or just like wave or something? O_o

sry 4 the outburst, but this kind of repitition just confuses and annoys me. All these people are just trying to stand out somewhere no one is going to see, and more people are going to get the same idea, and just post "hello word", "this is coooool beans". Everything they do to stand out makes them sound, annoyingly, the same.

Hey, hey, lose the chatspeak please. There's nothing more annoying than chatspeak on a writing forum. Please.

Anyways, :welcome: Just remember to capitalize all your "I's," spell out your numbers up to twenty, and use correct spelling/punctuation/grammar.

yes, I'm a nazi when it comes to that stuff. I'm sorry. And I'm not the only one either.

^^

Excuse me?

I have three words for you:

Grammar
Spelling
Punctuation

And I have five words for you: Listen to Drax and Adri.
Anyway, welcome to YWO. What genre do you like writing?

tormund

I prefer lyrical writing, songs, poems, et cetera.
I am indeed quite apologetic for the informal diction in my previous posts, but I was not aware of any code of conduct while writing in this forum. Although it should come as no surprise, especially being a forum for writing.
Again, my deepest apologies,
Tor.

Uh...yeah. About that. Go look at the site rules. It's right there, in bold print.

Welcome to YWO. You write with bizarre formality, so I'm guessing you're about 14 (well, mixed in with your first little rant, that's what I'm getting). *shrugs* Just something I noticed.

And no. Adri is not the only grammar nazi, but I think she's scarier than me, so that ought to count for something... :P

:devious: So true. <3 Annnnd quoted.

And, newb, I'm glad you've decided to conform to our non-chatspeak ways. That's a good choice. Oh, and you didn't argue. Also another good choice. I commend you.

Ah, the things I can't write! I give you credit for writing poems--as I said, I can't do that kind of stuff.

And no. Adri is not the only grammar nazi, but I think she's scarier than me, so that ought to count for something... :P

You'd actually be surprised (or maybe not, I don't know), but I'm like that with grammar, too, just not as obviously as you guys, I guess. :p

Err...

Hi, hello, this is Simmi. Welcome to YWO. You seem like an... odd newb. You seem to be trying to stand out yourself, but *shrugs*.

Hope you enjoy YWO and make sure to read the site rules, critique guidelines and FAQs.

^^ No, I thought you were one, Majyk. But I just think Adri is scarier than both of us - we take a while to snap, I think.

Ah... I won't be much help to you, newbie. I'm kind of sort of strictly prose. My poetry sucks severe. Sorry, dude.
Any chance you'll slip into Fantasy novels, though, I'll be glad to help out! ^^

Holy...
That was an admirable change in tone/personality.
I found it slightly funny, how immense the transition was... :P

Welcome to YWO. :)

Welcome, newb. It's okay. You don't have to get our attention by titling the thread "shut up already." If you're new, and you post here, whether you're trying to stand out or not(don't freak, I'm not saying you are), we're going to learn your true personality one way or another, and we're also going to welcome you.

Any questions, there's always someone to ask, and with that said, I'll end this with the same word it started with. :P

Welcome!

I smell hypocrisy. And this is how you spell "merely", not "meerly". Also, hold down the shift button properly for "!". Enough said.

Happy Canada Day! :)
Yes, that's one of my corny jokes. They're wonderfully addictive. You should try some. :P

Anyway, follow the rules and all that jazz, but remember ALWAYS... to look both ways before you make a sandwich.

Ps. I'm Will.

You smell right, Jerry. But remember: some of us wear masks because we think they look pretty and others wear them for protection. So let the newbie wear his little mask for as long as he/she should wish.
*shrugs* We find out what you're made of sooner or later anyway. What's the point of the charade?

Heartstop.

Hi!
Welcome to YWO. You should definitely listen to the older and wiser writers on here, THEY KNOW ALL ;) But your tone has completely changed since the first post which is amazing.
Hopefully you like it and stay.

Oh and I do find it interesting you chose not to spell out the number two but instead spelled out Et cetera :)
Anyways! Have a good time and don't forget to check out the site rules.
My names Lynnette by the way !
I write some poetry but mostly into fantasy.

Welcome to the forums.

Don't be annoying.

And I just might not eat you.

Hey kid. Listen to the elder members such as Bowie, Tsuki, and Drax, and you might not die. But I'm not guaranteeing anything.

Profiling is not something to be taken lightly. You cannot expect to know much about anyone on or off the internet by what they say. People lie. In the case that I am, perhaps, wearing a mask, as some of you have already pointed out, it is not there superficially, but out of necissity of survival. All your advice is duly noted, and I offer much apology if I have given the wrong impression to anyone.

You obviously know nothing of real survival. Of sleeping in a trashed car, because your own mother has abandoned you? Living in fear for your entire life because you father threatened to kill you if he sees your face again. I now have the privilege of sleeping under a roof. I can go to a good school. My grandfather works at that school as a janitor. I would fear for my life every day, if it were not for the fact that he does not even recognize me. Do you have any brothers? I have two, and I wake up every morning thanking god that they are too young to remember anything we have been through. This is not some self pity trip. I just thought I would save you the trouble of trying to figure out who I am.

Whoa, this really strayed. I think this line of conversation is going to be exactly what you don't want people to associate you with.

Though, I'm sorry that it happened, I think it'd be more effective in getting to know you if you changed the topic. This is kind of a hard topic to reply to, especially as no one wants to hurt you here. :)

Yeah. But like you said, people lie.

This is so off topic it hurts. You've been welcomed, let's leave it at that.

Can we get a lock on this thread? Pretty please, anyone?
