The poll above contains links to the charities we're considering donating to. The donation will consist of all of YWO's share of proceeds from SBS and everything from our Zazzle store (both linked in the sig).
Most are worldwide (meaning the U.S.A and everyone else), but a couple are not.
Thanks,
Shaun

This world is becoming so illiterate, it's sad. I voted for the National Institute for Literacy.

Gather the money, buy a book, write on the cover "pass it on when you finish reading it." and leave it on a bus stop.
Not sure if US has bus stops by the way, didn't see many busses when I was there. Train works too.

I settled on International Book Project, although they're all very good causes. :)

Who voted for the National Institute for Literacy? I just realized that it shouldn't have been on this list. It's a government program, which means it either is very clever about hiding how to donate, or it doesn't accept donations. That means it can't win.
Anyone who voted for that, could you please tell me in the comments what you would vote for instead? Sorry about that guys...

I voted for National Institute for Literacy. My second choice would be World Education.
