From a white author, and what do you expect from a black author? Asian? You get the point...

Asian authors...hard to tell, even though I'm asian myself...the most I've seen on the behalf of asian authors are graphic novels, so, about what I expect from those...heavy action scenes, sweet violence, and lots of skillssss...

Fwoot! Asian authors! Actually, I'm Asian-American. Erm ... -shuffle-

Right. Well, you can go read my heavy action scenes and ... stuff.

I really don't have any expectations for any authors based on their skin color, country of origin, etc. At all. -thinks- Nope.

I expect a good story for any author. Nothing more.

I don't know why the race of someone matters if the story is good. I don't read a book because of someone's skin color. I don't care what color someone is. You could be purple. If the book is good it won't matter one bit. A white person can just as easily talk about black slavery as a black person and if the perspective and details are right in each it won't matter on bit. To me.

Then again, there are those that practice reverse racism in which White people are not allowed to say certain things or do certain things because it's 'offensive' to people of other skin colors or 'races'. None of that makes sense to me. If you want a free, united society where race doesn't matter, then you shouldn't make a big over the fact that you're different. But hey, that's me and that's logic.

I don't expect anything about their quality of work...I do look forwards to their unique styles, though. It doesn't mean I don't expect different authors to skillfully execute different styles, though.

I don't expect anything based on those criterias, half the times I don't know what the author of my book looks like or where they're from...

I don't care. I only know the race of an author if their picture is in the book. And I still don't care then. :p If race makes people write differently, then it's one of a million factors that do exactly the same.
