So it's a month until crunch time and Nano begins again . . .

This will be my second Nano and I'm really looking forward to it. Not sure how far I'll get this year because college is pretty time consuming, but I'm going to try and get as much as I can done.

So, who's doing it this year and have you got any ideas?

If you have never heard of this really weirdly named thing I'm talking about then read this: http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/whatisnano

M'afraid this would be impossible. Sixth form eats up too much time. Which means I won't be able to do it next year either.

You can do anything you set your mind to, Shadow. :P

Will I do it....no. Still brainstorming, and probably will be for a long time...

I'm writing 65,000 this year. I had hoped to go for higher, but you know, it's junior year. At least I know I probably won't run out of story. Last year I wrote 60,000 and got about 10% through my outlined plot.

Dunno my goal, but I'm going for it. May the most dedicated authors finish their novels!

November is always too busy for me, what with being at dance almost every day of the week practicing for the Nutcracker. Plus, I'm still planning my novel. But good luck to everyone who's doing it!

I'm with Majyk - November is always eaten up by exams and Eisteddfod and uni applications. Sorry, dudes. I'm going to just stick with being a plodder and plodding along with my plodding stories. Thank you and good luck. ^_*

I've never participated in NaNoWriMo before, I think I'll try and do it this year. And I'm proud to say when I click the 'I'm at least 13 years of age' button, I'm not lying! Yesh~ I think I'll just try and reach the goal of 50,000 words. I've never written that much before... 'Let's see how far we've come!'

Never even heard of this before, but I reckon I could try. I suppose. Question: Can we use a novel we've started here on YWO, or does it have to be from scratch? I'm about to click Lily's link, so blast me if the answer to my question is there. >.>

Edit: Ah. Never mind.

Edit: Ah. Never mind.

According to the rules, it has to be a new novel, but I think that sucks. I'm just adding another 50,000 words to my current novel (which I started for last year's Nano) because I don't want to lose motivation with it. I don't think it matters to be honest. The word counter doesn't read what you write, and if you write the 50,000 then who cares if it's not the start, but somewhere in the middle of the story. Words are words. :)

The only thing is that you cannot include any words you wrote before November in your count.

EDIT: Also, if you are planning to do Nano, and haven't already signed up, do so before November. The Nano site gets pretty jammed at the end of October and the first week of November. Also add me -- http://www.nanowrimo.org/eng/user/402717

-- If you signed up last year the your account should be still active so you don't need to sign up again. :)
