I took a break from the points system work to do something easier. :)

Until now, the Care to Critique and Portfolio features were just searches done through our search page. To view anything that needed critiques, or to view all your writing so far, you had to do a search. Now they both have their own pages, and much shorter urls.

Both can now be accessed through the Writing drop-down menu at the top of the site.

To view all the writing in the past 30 days that has less than two critiques, choose "Care to Critique?"

To view your portfolio, choose "My Portfolio" in the Writing drop-down menu. OR, you can view any member's portfolio via the link on their profile page. Here's mine:

The threads at both links will be sorted by date, and sticky and locked threads won't be listed at the Care to Critique link.

Moved threads are apparently listed... xP

Hm, I like that the Care-to-Critique list is limited to one month, so we don't have all of those abandoned newbs-who-never-came-back threads. Other than that, it doesn't seem all that different to me, but I guess that's more of a coding thing.

Yeah. Other than filtering out some threads, the only difference is a shorter url. This is the old one:

http://www.youngwritersonline.net/search.php?do=process&replyless=1&replylimit=1&forumchoice[]=39&childforums=1&searchdate=30&sortby=threadstart&order=descending

Ugly. That's the problem of using the search page for something it's not meant to do. :)
