Critique Buddies: Official Thread [Archive]

There has been a lot of talk about critiquing and some of the problems with it here at YWO. So, here is a proposed solution to help make sure that everyone gets a crit.

This is basically what it sounds like. Here you can post that you're looking for a crit buddy, someone who, basically, is saying that they will give priority to your work. You can have as many buddies as you want provided that you do critiques.

I'll post who is buddies with whom here. Hopefully this all makes sense. This is to help get people together so that someone will always get a few crits. A good idea is to be buddies with people who read and write similar things as you so you can get the most out of a crit.

Any questions? Feel free to ask. Otherwise post here if you're interested in getting some Crit Buddies, or ask if someone would like to be buddies with you!

You mean once you get a group of buddies? Well you could just tell them "hey I can't do anything because of this reason" I suppose. This is just to help get people critting...

I don't really need a buddy. I've had a lot of crits and I've done no editing nor written anymore. So, I just need to crit someone else's work. I need someone to get me out of my lazy streak.

I could use some crit buddies. Just so you know, I give decent critts and I make sure to point out any mistakes. I can be thorough and I do return favors. All I need is to be in my Study with some nice tea and I can be a very good critiquer. If anyone has any questions about my critting habits, please ask.

(Oh, and Rafael, I noticed that you critted some of my novel, so I'll be sure to get to the second piece of your Fantastic Story by the end of the day!^_^)

You're lucky. My crit buddy hasn't done anything for me in mooooooonnnths. :ninjablade:

Trust me, I don't plan on stopping anytime soon. I just finished critting two pieces the other day. My crit count is 112.62 points *Goes to the Icon store* Anyone who wishes to join Zaphy and Raffy's Crit Circle(Cool name isn't it?:D), then just ask!:D

I'd like you to warn you now that car2 cannot actually be locked in closets or killed or something like that. The best thing to do is to keep her interested with something else. I've placed a couple Dora the Explorer videos in the closet, so that might keep her preoccupied for a while.

This is a critting circle, didn't you read the other posts leading up to this one? Or was that Car2 who read? Anyway, with this group of people:Zaphkiel, Rafael Domination+, George Micheal, Carraka, and Nyx; we should crit eachothers work and give feed back right away. We should also check to see if anyone in our group has updated their work. This way, everybody gets good crits.

Good god guys. Ease up on the spam :P. This is supposed to just be a thread for setting up crit buddies. I added your little group to the list by the way. Don't get too many together though because you'll never be able to crit each other's works :S.
