Indeed, welcome!

...

Well, that's all from me. I'm a bit tired, and so, not very chatty. ^_*

PM me should you ever need help. Usually I'm semi-respectable, so feel free to bother me. ^_*

Oh. And use proper grammar, or I'll bite your head off.

Be nice! Have fun now!

Much grinnage!

Welcome to the site. I don't know if this would help you, but it's also a link on how to critique, although not as detailed as the ones Draxar showed you:

You can PM me for any critiques, maybe they'll help you see what to do... For beginner critiquers (more for novels, shorts, other writing not including poems or lyrics):
Point out individual spelling errors in the text; be specific, nothing like: There were a couple mistakes with spelling, yadada... Be specific: In the text, you said "Mother walked to the store qickly" Its spelt "quickly". Or, you can do a line by line and highlight errors in another color and give the correct spelling. Same goes for grammar.
Look for descriptions of surroundings, and don't be intimidated to mention it if you find the imagery (scenes which paint a picture in your mind with words) lacking-- there might be none, not enough, or it might seem unoriginal or cliche, it might be boring, there might be too much... Just think about it.
Also, if the book has a character, make sure you get an idea of who they are, what they like, think, want-- their personality. If you aren't reading any of that, you should point it out. Its important for authors to show us who their characters are.

So, *ramble ending* those are some simple tips on critiques to get you started. Any questions, feel free to leave me a message and we can talk.
Hugs,
Summer
