Hi!
This is the first time I've ever joined a forum, mostly because I'm afraid that I'll be eaten alive, and partly because I fear public humiliation.
Anyways.
I enjoy reading all genres. If it's legible, I'll read it. Although, I do tend to sway towards action/thrillers.
My current writing plans/aspirations?
I don't really have any. I just write for recreational purposes.
I don't know if I'm good enough to get serious about it, so hopefully, if anyone is willing, that will get cleared up for me. Even if it turns out that I do suck, writing will continue to be my best friend during the never ending hours of math class.
What do I write? I'm currently writing a novel (don't expect that one to come out of My Documents for a while) but I sometimes write short stories and poetry.
I creeped the other newbie welcome forums to see what I should include in this, so hopefully I didn't miss anything...
Did the newb do well?

If there's humiliation here, it's not public I assure you. Yes, you have done well, BUT you should take that story out of My Documents and put it here so we can rip-I mean help it. It's copyrighted anyway...

Welcome to YWO.
You shouldn't worry too much, most of us are pretty decent. Just be aware that several of the members on the site, myself included, crit harshly on work. But don't worry to much about it - it's only to help, not to hurt. :)
If you need a crit or if you need help with something, don't hesitate to PM me.
Good luck writing.:)

Where's Cananda, by the way?
Yay another Canadian! Welcome to YWO!
Don't worry...we won't eat your alive (I think.)
Anyways, you should definitely reveal that novel of yours and let us rip it to shreds. For the sake of improvement of course:p
As Mercy said, some of us tend to crit harshly but don't take anything personally.
If you ever need a crit, let me know! ^^

Haha, I'm glad to hear that you crit (I'm learning the lingo) harshly. I've got my mom to tell me that my work is wonderful. :)
Oh geez, typo on the first day. And not even a random word in a sentence, which is excusable, but the country I live in.

Ah, welcome. You did pretty well with answering most of the questions I ask newbies; here are a few I either skipped over or... skipped over...
How long have you been writing?
Have you ever showed someone your work before?
What genre do you tend to write in?
Remember to read the FAQs and Rules and critiquing guidelines. Once again, welcome to YWO.

Bowie: Canada is located just a tad north of the States. It's the big country that looks really normal.
I think he knows that. He was just joking, because she said "Cananda" at first.

Welcome to YWO :)
You should definitely bring out that novel, because I would like to read some of your work. You seem like a decent newbie, who will actually follow the rules, etc. And you did a very good job lurking in the other newb's threads, so you you know what to answer and what-not.
When you post some work, just drop me a PM and I'll check it out :)
Hello Newbie. If Saint Jacky drops by and gives you a not so warm welcome, remember it is because he is an "elitist retard" Follow the rules, crit well and you should do fine here.
Welcome to YWO
PM me of you need crits. :)

Greetings, Greetings! Welcome to the site! You sound very sensible already. :) And yes, do drag that novel out here IMMEDIATELY, if you haven't done so already. What's a better way to feel welcome than to have your work ripped apart bit by bit, screaming in agony, bloodied with the red ink of errors and comments...*continues to rant for a while*
Ahem. Sorry about that. :) Again, welcome. I hope you feel safe and comfortable here. PM me should you need anything. ^.^

In response to Simmi,
I've always enjoyed writing, I remember creative writing time in the third grade was always my favourite time, but I didn't really realize how much I liked it in till a couple of years ago. So I suppose that's when I started.
No, I've never shown my work to anyone before. Unless I count the time my mom found a poem I wrote in my pocket while she was doing the laundry. I denied writing it.
And what do I write? Well, I write for young adults, because I am one, and the book I'm working on has to do with time travel. I wouldn't say that I'm exclusivly a sci-fi writer though. I don't know. I'll just say fiction for now.
Huh. I always thought newbs were gang-beaten. Thanks for showing me otherwise. : ) And I'll have to spend a few days rewriting the first half of my novel before I expose it. It's easy to see the progress I've made throughout it. The last bits I wrote are okay-ish, my first stuff is dreadful.
And if your description of Saint Jacky was even remotely accurate, I'm sure we'll get along just fine. :)
Huh. I always thought newbs were gang-beaten.
Only the ones who deserve it :P

Hello Newbie. If Saint Jacky drops by and gives you a not so warm welcome, remember it is because he is an "elitist retard".
Stfu, Drax, I have only utterly destroyed one newb. And they deserved it. Or rather, they would have been ripped to shreds by the rest of the forum anyway, and I gave them reason to leave, so now they have their pride intact. Not that they deserve it.
And if your description of Saint Jacky was even remotely accurate, I'm sure we'll get along just fine. :)
It is not, but I hope we'll get along anyway.
Welcome to the site! :3

Okay, so I don`t know if I`m commiting a forum sin by posting here, but I felt as if I shoul reintroduce myself, as I haven`t been on for months. So, hello everyone (again). My name is Banana, and I like to write. If you`d like to know more about me, feel free to check out my first post. :)
Hopefully I will be posting my first piece of writing on here soon, now that my Creative Writing class has started.
P.S. Sorry for all of the weird ` things, but my keybored does that sometimes. Also, my question marks currently are É`s. If you know how to fix this, could you help me out *question mark*

... O.o?
Hey, there, Banana! I'm Canadian, too. At least, I live there. I'm not fully Canadian.
