I don't think that's an appropriate title for an introduction, but I guess it leaves me no choice.
I'm Aix, from the Philippines. I'm not new to writing, but to writing and finishing more than the prologue of a story--it's definitely a yes. My online fantasy novel "Diamond of Mirannis" is on deviantArt, and about the prologue and the first chapter is done. I have the same username in dA, so you don't need to ask. ;)
I do prose when I write, poetry is not my thing unless I feel the mood to do haiku. My genre is fantasy or period romance, I think.
My favorite author is Anne Rice, and my favorite book series are "The Vampire Chronicles". Her style is just irresistible and classical. The way she described settings, the feelings of the characters, and the action scenes are just incredible. Other favorites are Oscar Wilde, J.K. Rowling, Stephen King, Gaston Leroux, C.S. Lewis, and many more.
PS. Could I link my work from dA here? As in put the link from dA, or is it a "competitor site" as I've read in the rules?

It's easier to at least copy-paste your novel

Wait, you actually read the rules? Holy crap. You might be the best new member ever. Are you sure you're not a robot? :P.
Umm, actually, what you should do is earn some points and actually post your writing in the Writing section. That way you can get some critiques for your work and improve it! The only issue I have with posting links to your writing is if you don't contribute to the site in any way. Just sending people elsewhere is sort of counter-YWO, and we want you to be a part of the community rather than a link mill, you know what I mean?
In any case, welcome to YWO and I hope you enjoy your stay. So far I already like you. You've read the rules and you don't write like a moron (meaning you use basic grammar, you capitalize the appropriate letters, and you can spell).
Let me know if you need anything. You can PM me, Tsuki, GeorgeMichael, or Nyx with any questions you might have :).
Thanks!

I found your story in DA...you have a lot of comments compared to my own. Does having so many comments make you feel confident in your work?
Hi. Welcome to the site! It's refreshing to get a newb that can write in proper English for once. :) I think you should probably post your work here on the site, that way it would be easier for us to give you feed back on it.
Welcome again! :) Be sure to PM if you want a crit on your novel :)

Hello to you guys too!

I'm not a robot, I'm flesh and blood--and human :P. Maybe I should post the writing. There are still members that don't spell right even if English is their first language? So sad. :(

Even though it adds to my vain factor :D, yes it does. I just join clubs and submit my work, or just send the link to my DA friends.

^^ That's nice to hear... thanks.

Oh dear...I'm late again.
Hi there, Midnight-Spring! Welcome to the site!
I'll add on the usual attachment of sayings - PM me if you ever need critiques! Hope you really enjoy your time here!, etc, etc.
(Don't mind me. Rushéd I am, and tired too....)
Much grinnage, dude!
