Can someone please tell me the difference between them? I can't find any.

Use is a verb.

Usage is a noun, and it means the act of using.

I thought there wasn't any difference between the two. =/

EDIT: Carr posted before me dang it. Hm.. I learned something today.

I believe that that's when usage is applicable.

But then what's the point in having the word in the English language in the first place?

Sounds more formal, maybe depending on the character

No, I think they're pretty much on the same level on the formality spectrum.

Perhaps use refers to a singular action/singular actions, while usage is more general/non-specific?

noun
the action of using something or the fact of being

Edit: No, wait... "use" can be used for that as well. I think...

The English language is the hardest language... it's also very confusing. For example we have juxtaposition(sp) when we could just say next to.. And now use and usage. Oh joy.
