I know this book has been read and reviewed over again, but I cannot stress the brilliance of this book. The descriptions and use of adjectives in the book is just innovative of the time of Homer. The action sequences were also described in such a way that is rarely seen in today's works. After reading the first few pages, I can honestly see why this work is considered a classic.

I think you did less reviewing and more commending...
"Sing O goddess, the anger of Achilles the son of Pelius." My favorite quote. My real name is Achilles too, so bleh.

You are quite lucky that you have been able to get your hands on this book. I have always wanted to read it. It is the story of Troy, is it not? I would also like to read the Odyssey. I am glad to have heard of someone who has read it and am glad that you enjoyed it.
