Poll #3: When Do You Write?

Do you set aside a specific time each day, or is it more random?

I write on my mom's computer which doesn't have internet connection so I can't get distracted! But school's the only place I use notepads.

I write whenever I try to juggle three things at one time...no seriously. Whenever I'm typing on my novel, I'm always drawin something, watching TV, playing a computer game or babysitting...and I'm bored all the while...

Actually, you can't say that unless you give it a shot...(I know you Shadow...you're a better writer that you think you are...)...maybe watching one of those Asian Soap operas will give you an idea of non-corny romance (my sister recommends Winter Sonata - I really shouldn't know this kind of 'lovey-love' stuff, but when your sibling watches all of the episodes on TV three meters from you in the living room, some of it sticks with you...)

Thanks for the compliment and the advice. You deserve some forum thanks for that! :D But seriously, if I posted romance, I'd be destroyed. Mine would be like the typical, cliché kind of romance you get in average teenage poetry these days...

Hmm...I think its also the SITUATION going on that might lean to more 'cheesy' scenes. I mean, if the characters haven't seen each other in years, and they meet, well, there a lot more chances of something too corny being written down, as you have to write a lot about their emotions to show the drama in the scene. But, maybe if you settled for something simple, and 'cute', there would be less room for crossing the lines, as characters will do less to show their emotions, often reluctantly, which cuts out the risk of someone taking a bullet for another person and saying something flowery as they die.

I write whenever. It's pretty random. My schedule is really, really loose so I don't really have a routine. I began my writing career on the computer, microsoft word, but then I switched to paper when I found that it offers more flexiblity in a way. It helps me see better where my mistakes are.

Ah, I write when I'm in extreme moods - when I'm really sad, angry or happy, then I apply it to how the characters are feeling so it's more of an emotional outlet really.

Sometimes I just don't feel like writing, so I read or watch TV instead, but usually I'm feeling creative. So, after I'm done my homework and I've played a little volleyball with my sister, I usually lock myself in my room and type for hours, until bedtime.
