Hello, everyone! I would just like to post some books I have read recently. they are all very good. I think if you can, you should read them. Also I encourage you all to look at some used bookstores in your neighbourhoods. I promise you, there are exciting finds there! Here are a few books I recommend:
Steal Away by Jennifer Armstrong
This book is touching, heartwarming and sad. It is the story of an orphan called Susannah McKnight who is sent to live on her Uncles plantation. Upon arriving, she is given a slave, much to her dismay. Beth, a girl her own age, is frustrating to Susannah because of her multiple personalities, sometimes angry, sometimes submissive. But Susannah soon begins a sort of cold friendship and begins to teach Beth how to read, and soon she has an idea to run away from her uncles plantation. Beth decides to come with her on their quest back to Vermont and it is the story of their journey and how they reflect upon it, many years later, with their grandchildren. It is fairly religious but it made me cry and smile at once, if that is possible.

The Jaguar Princess by Clare Bell
I have not read this yet, but it looks interesting. It might be written for more mature readers, but I love fantasy. I am fairly sure it is about an Aztec slave called Mixcatl who discovers she can turn into a Jaguar at will, and then the powerful people decide they cannot let her survive. Has anyone read it? Is it any good? I ead the first page, it seems good.

Dear Dumb Diary by Jim Benton
Now this is funny.

JThe Fudge books by Judy Bloom
I'm too old for them now, but I still love them! They are hilarious! I wish I had brothers.

Anything By Roald Dahl
Roald Dahl is so witty and clever, and it doesnt matter how foolish and plotless his stories are, it is great to read them!

Oliver Twist by charles Dickens
Havent read yet, but I'd like to hear from someone who has read it. Anyone?

Two "Royal Diaries" titles: Cleopatra vii and Anacaona
These are very good and interesting. Only girls would like them but you can have a good history lesson by reading the epilogues and a good fictionalised tale by reading the book itself. Lots consider me an expert at everything ancient egypt or Cleopatra, but all I know of cleopatra comes from that book!

The tales of ancient egypt by Roger Lancelyn Greene
Some neat short stories and mythology.

Chicks with Sticks (knit two together) by Elizabeth Lenhard
Now this is fun. I guess you could call it a romance novel, but it is more about four girls who are best friends and very different, but share a passion for knitting. It is girly but it is a perfect summary of what friendship is all about, and what everyone needs in a friend. Bella is by far my favourite character. She is nothing like the Twilight Bella, in fact, she is very oposite! She is, with moern slang, a hippie. But a very smart, kind person and a friend I wish I had, sometimes.

Lastly...
The 39 Clues by various writers
This is: funny, relatable, thrilling, fast-moving, warm, and alltogether awesome! It isnt the most descriptive, well written book around, but the content is so fantastic that I hardly notice! It is the story of Amy Cahill the shy bookworm and Dan Cahill the troublemaker "ninja lord", and how they get caught up in a dangerous and confusing contest againts all the other Cahills out there. The only adult chaperone they can find is Nellie, their chef-hopeful babysitter who never listens to her iPod at a decent volume. It is so full of great characters, like Irina Spasky, an ex-agent of the KGB, Alistair Oh, a friendly, supposedly well dressed man who claims to have invented the microwavable burrito, the Holt family, a group of muscular meanies who ahve no brains, the Kabras, two genius rich kids who have it all: doting, underprotective parents, luck, weaponry, good looks, you name it, and Jonah Wizard, a conceited television star, a gangster who might be smarter than you give him credit for. A must read! The third book stinks because of some stupid romance, but it is crucial if you wnat to know what the next book means, when it comes out.

Well, I will stop boring you now. Bye! happy reading! Sorry for my atrocious spelling.
