View Full Version : Hey all :)
Hey, my name is Jess.
I've only just register for YWO today, and I'm still getting the hang of it.
I'm from Australia and I love to read and write.
I'm only 15, but I'm looking toward a future in literature, and am hoping to receive some pointers from people who are more experienced than me.
I've only recently started to show people my writing, and I'm not yet sure whether I've got talent creatively or what, but I'm keen to show what I've got, and hopefully gain some knowledge and experience.
Feel free to message me anytime :)

Welcome Jess. :)
Well, you did mention you like read and write, but you haven't been very specific, have you?
What are your favorite genres of reading and types of writing?
If you write fantasy, I'm looking forward to shredding your work to pieces :D If you write poetry though... well, I hate poetry!

Yes, I agree with you.
And welcome, Jess! I hope that you enjoy YWO. What kind of genre do you specialize in?

Welcome to YWO!
I agree with Bowie in the sense that I'm glad that you take the time to actually write properly. It's a dying art on the internet.
Anyways, I hope you enjoy our little site and stay for a while. The more the merrier!

I don't fancy myself as much of a poet, so there's no need to hold that against me :)
I write mainly about realistic sort of things, mainly problems people face.
In my english class at the moment, our subject is 'journeys' and so most of what I'm currently writing comes under that topic, but I wouldn't restrict my writing style to just that.
Reading, well, I'm a sucker for a good book of any kind. My favourite genres are crime/thriller, mystery, I don't mind a bit of fantasy in there either.

I'll admit it, I've read the books. They're a bit nauseatingly cliche for my liking, and slightly too far-fetched, but I'm not going to deny the fact that I've read them.

Yay! I agree. I love you too.
I'm Miss Smiley, aka Smiley (no need to ask why).
Nice to meet you, dudette, and welcome to the site!
I don't know if I can help you. I'm not real experienced myself. I just dabble. A lot. :-D
Also, thank you for your grammatically correct structures and punctuation. I may even write you a sonnet.
Much grinnage!
Miss Smiley ^_^ :-)
