I don't think we've done this one before, so here we go. If your country is not listed, please use other and tell us what country you're from. It's nice to see were everyone is in the world on YWO.

Anywho! I'm from the U.S. Most of you know that. Specifically California, though that will be changing to another state in about 4 months or so.

A lotta U.S. of God bless A people. We stand for freedom, liberty, apple pie, freedom, democracy, grandma, and freedom. Did I mention freedom? Oh what the hell, it's worth mentioning again.

We also believe in modern-day imperialism. You see, it's not barbaric because we added in the "modern-day" in it.

Canada! Whooo! Summer has finally hit us and it is nice!
I hate snow, in case you were wondering.
But Canada's alright. Steven Harper's a tool, but the rest of us are fairly sane.

Well, it seems I'm the only one (for now--at least in this pool) from the Caribe. My island is Puerto Rico, La Isla del Encanto, or so they say. Nice island, and we are lucky people, compared to other islands... maybe it doesn't have the best reputation... only the bad news about us travel the whole world, sadly :(

Oh well,
Adios

Hey Nyrihaz, I'm afraid most of the Caribbean doesn't have a great reputation with the rest of the world, except the more touristy places. It's unfortunate, because many of the islands have unique histories and beautiful landscapes, plus there are some cool people out there.

Yep, is a sad thing. There is a lot of interesting things many bad things cover up. Either way, I'm glad I live where I live. One day I'm gonna be the best writer from this island ;) We have to dream, right?

Greece , in particular Athens (the Capital), we have a great and ancient history and culture (we are precisely very proud for that) .We love holidays and summer , our beautiful Mediterranean beaches and of course partying and enjoying our life.:D:DWe are smart but we sometimes forget to use our minds. It’s a really beautiful country but many of us forget that fact too:(

I'm from Ireland. So red hair, green clothes, leprechaun's and all that. And alcohol. And pale skin. And lots of rain. (Except that I have brown hair, own very few green items of clothing, I don't drink, and I've never seen a leprechaun in my life!) Although the pale skin and rain part is pretty darn accurate. :P

"Australia... where it's winter for maybe two weeks."

I am in love with the land down under, it is simply awesome. I got a golden opportunity to visit your country last year, and fell in love with it all over again. Australia is my favourite country but only after my mysterious and passionate India. :)

I am highly disappointed, you seem to be the only person critisizing your country in an international forum, where everyone has praises for theirs and most importantly, respect.

India is much more than just poplulation growth, but for that we need an open prospective and I am sure many will agree with me.

I'm in Canada, where we (according to Americans in my class) believe in hockey, maple syrup, snow, "eh", strong beer, igloos, wear toques and boots and have very pristine, woodsy scenery.

I actually have met two Americans who moved to Canada a week before, and they came to school looking so surprised. Granted, one of the Americans used to live in California so the cold was... well, cold. The other American was from New York, I think.

To set the record straight...
I like hockey and that's the most popular sport in my school -- off the top of my head, I can name about 17 guys that play hockey and 9 teams.
I don't mind maple syrup.
I'm in Winter--oops, Winnipeg and we get to -30'C in January/February. During that time, we get a hell of a lot of snow, but the guys still walk to a 7/11 for a Slurpee... everyday!
Most people say "eh" without realizing it.
I've had beer before (I'm 13) and wine, and it's not that strong.
I've only been in an igloo during Outdoor Education.
What's wrong with toques?!?!?!?
I like boots. They keep your toes from freezing off.
The only "wood" near me is the Dalhousie Forest, which is about 100m by 100m of thin trees.

I just had to say that.

I am sorry, I didn't mean to hurt your sentiments. Actually I was felling kind of silly when I wrote it and I laughed over myself for writing it down. Everybody knows what India is and what it isn't.

Basically, population growth in India is also a boon for our country, because of the ever increasing consumer market, we are the highest consumers in the world. And because of this, Indian economy is highly dependent on the local market unlike the Chinese which draws most of the income from foreign exchange, and that is the resaon why we stayed afloat during the recession and were better than China, which went through a major lose due to America's crashing stoke exchange.

See, this is so cool.

Hey! I'm a kiwi too! New Zealand, a small island in the Pacific which no one cares about. I heard some people ask if it's in Auz.

Green plants, native birds and sheep. I live in the big super city of Auckland, next to Maungakeikei, One Tree Hill.
