I finished this book late last night in a desperate attempt to find out the end of the story, and I must say, I was more than disappointed.
The book lacked point or purpose. I kept reading it because it keeps many things from you throughout the plotline. There are murders, the mystery of her mother leaving as soon as she was born, and later on, the mystery surrounding her father. I thought it would make for a very promising read. The topic of vampires integrating themselves in everyday life has been my topic of interest when it comes to reading recently (as i enjoy Twilight which i know people on here do not share this interest), however I felt the story only touched on 'vampire life' and was very rushed. Looking back on this book, I still cannot figure out what the storyline was supposed to be. It had no clear direction and you couldn't engage with any of the characters. I actually felt like I could tell you more about the Monkeys and the Bees rather than the main characters. Curiosity alone keeps you reading until the end - but if any of you are reading it now, I tell you that there is no point to finish the book because the ending doesn't answer any of your questions, it simply evokes more. All in all, I would not recommend this book.
If anyone is reading/has read this book and feels differently I would be interested to know why.
