What do you do if you have posted something and no one has offered any critique?

I have put a poem on here called 'Other Half' and haven't received any messages on it yet... what do i do ?

Thanks xxx

Just wait.
If a week or two passes, PM some members asking for a crit.

It might take a while for you to get critiques because well it's a bad time really, since most of us have school and such. But critique other members' work because we often crit back ! Also, you can PM members with a request!
Good luck.

I was about to say I'd help you with that but... poems really aren't my thing.
But as Nyx said, critiquing others' work might make them critique you back

When you have received critique, and you have updated & improved your work... do you re-post it ?

if so - do you re-post it in the same thread/different one?

Please help...x Thanks x

I put mine in the same post, unless it's massively changed. Then you might want to make a new post.

I would do it in the same thread. If you want to leave the unedited version up, too, then I would post the new version in a different post, but if you don't, then I would update the original post to say that you've edited it.

What you gotta be careful is not to add up another entire chapter on the same post by just editing it.
If you're going to add up more stuff, you need to waste points. So what you do is make a post costing points just to say you've added up to the first post, and then you edit your first post to add up the extra part.

Furthermore, if youre posting a completely revised, entirely different version of the same story, you might want to keep the original, for example.
Then you make a new thread and just call it v2.0 or something :)
Hope I helped
