Oh, I didn't look at scripts, of course they count. Let me go and add them hold on...

Should Rain really count? it was only experimental and I don't think anybody actually liked it...
Anyways I still have to post something better on here...I just haven't had time to write anything worth reading lately.

Ok, nominations tallied. Hurray it's picking up. Once nominations are over then each member who would like to have a voice will PM me their votes for who they think should win each category. Majority rules and when I have closed the polls I will count the votes and announce the winners.

Not now of course, I'm just explaining how this will work.

More Nominations Needed!!!

P.S On nominating yourself, it's allowed but think about it...do you really want to?

P.S.S Perhaps if the Admins allow it then the winners could have an Award posted on their profile... hmm... I'll ask when Andy or Shaun get on.

Umm, well I can only vote on what I've actually read--which isn't too much actually :(. So, umm.
Overall Novel: The Winnower by Andy (since it's the only novel I've started reading, though I think this category is sort of pointless because most people haven't read any full novel available, and The Winnower technically isn't finish, at least not on the site)
Best Plot: RagEnd-Evader

But I haven't read enough works to make any other mildly effective suggestions.

Overall novel: Equus Cruorem.

Sorry Andrew. :s

Man, I've only read Shaun and Zaphy's novels. I am so terrible... thanks for nominating me, those who did, though! :) Best plot, eh? I didn't think I'd be getting that nomination, if any.

only one person has read my play. XD I should make more of an effort to read things... I'm just so busy!

I've read quite a bit, but I'm not critting anything. o.O

I love this idea, but I probably won't nominate/vote, because in my mind this requires me to say, "Person A writes better than Person B". This isn't what the thread is about, but I -- can't -- do it --

However, thank you for all nominations, and um, maybe I will nominate after all. Quota first. Quota first.

Ok new thing, from now on you can PM me your nominations if you want to be anonymous.

And there's also no reason to nominate something that's already been nominated, we're not voting yet so you didn't have to apologize to Andy Meldy because his story was already nominated :)

P.S The maximum nominations is five for a category, three for ensemble because it's a harder category to come up nominations with.

Sound good? Ok, let's get those nominations in so we can begin voting, will your story be one of the proud, the few, the marines? :P

GeorgeMichael

... :( we need more nominations

Shadow

Maybe we should have a sort of Newsletter that shows recommended reads throughout the site and those that need a crit (in the sense that no one's posted any crits for their work :P).

Shaun

Andy and I have talked about something like that. I think until we get membership up things such as newsletters/blogs/etc. will be on hold, but we are certainly considering them.

Why is this only for stories? There has been some good poems around here, not a lot but some good ones.

We could have as categories stuff like:

Best Free Verse Poem

Best Use of Rhyme

Best Use of Meter

Best Overall Poem

Best Narrative Poem

Best Lyrical Poem

Best Metaphor

Best Imagery

Or something... I don't know... I think Shadow's idea is also really good.

Shaun
12-01-2007, 06:13 AM
Nominate poems then. I didn't create this though, but you are welcome to have votes for best poems, by all means

Shadow

Or something... I don't know... I think Shadow's idea is also really good.

Technically, since Andy and Shaun thought of it first, it's there idea. But great minds think alike. :D :P

GeorgeMichael
