Well I was brought to the site by a book I'm currently reading
"Gotham writers' workshop - WRITING FICTION" (edited by alexander steele)

A book about writing books. This book (it was an unexpected gift by someone I hadn't seen in over five years too)is what brought me back to writing. It has many tips, recommendations and best of all, exercises to do as you read, which force you gradually to write more and more, untill you're making 2k words assignments thinking it's nothing.

The book brought me to their website:
http://www.writingclasses.com/

And, more specific to the topic, to
their toolbox section (http://www.writingclasses.com/WritersResources/toolbox.php)

Their character Questionaire is pretty good, as long as you remember not to answer every single question every single time :P The 'Ask the writer' section is also pretty good.

To be fair though, except for the Questionaire, I don't visit that site much, or at all. The book pretty much has everything I need at the moment, I'm really happy with it :D

Sorry for the apparent advertising, its just that the book really is helping me, and I'm trying not to be selfish by passing my secret along :P

I've actually read that book, and it remains on my bookshelf to this day. Perhaps someday the information about agents will become useful. :)

Good stuff!
