Social Site Buttons Added

Simply put, social networking sites are websites where people submit links to share with other people, and everyone can vote, rate, and comment on the links submitted. It's like a big database of links. In most cases, you must get an account at each site to submit stuff.

This morning I added two buttons to the site that allow you to submit pages you see here to those sites.

The first one is in the upper-right corner of every page. If you just want to submit Young Writers Online as a whole, that's the link to click. You'll see a list of social sites. Click the one(s) you want to use.

You'll also see this button next to the Reply button when viewing a thread. This is for submitting just that thread. If you think a particular thread is a good resource or discussion, you can submit it with this button.

And there you have it. Big thanks to AddThis.com (http://www.addthis.com/) for providing the buttons and their functions. If anyone wants to, you can get an account there and put similar buttons on your own blogs and websites.

Well he usually does all the tidbits of coding and stuff so he has a lot more to announce than I do. However, we're rolling out a huge feature that I set up so :P.

And Imelda: The bookmarks allow members to add our site into places like Technorati, StumbleUpon, etc. The more people who put us in the system, the more our site grows. It's a great, simple way to spread the word :)
