Hello there, I'm Teacake, or Paula, but I really prefer Polly.
I'm from New Jersey, I've been writing for about 5 years now and I just came across this site and I'm quite excited. This'll be the first writing site I've posted work on!
It'll be really nice meeting you all, :)

Hi Caitlyn, :)
I'm not really sure I'm quite spread out when it comes to writing, I love writing romance stories though, and sad stories can be good to write aswell but I find them both difficult at times. Since Romantic and Sad stories you're suppose to show alot of emotion, which can be hard sometimes especially if you're in a happy mood and you need to write about some horrible tragedy and how that person would feel when it happened to them :)

I'm also an Artist, just thought I'd add.
I might go to art school :P

I really need to greet more people...

Then again...that's what people at Wal-Mart do...maybe this is a bad idea.

Anyway, welcome to YWO.

I'm Zombified and I'll be your Moderator today.

Haha, thank you all for welcoming me.
I thought I'd explain why my name is "TeaCake"
Its because I visit Edinbrough, in Scotland every year, and my aunt always feeds me tea cakes, and she was on the phone to me when I made my account so I thought I'd name it after them :)

That's okay. :D

Do you have any favourite books?

I just finished Stephenie Meyers "The Host" I have to say its far better than the Twilight series, which for the record I did sort of enjoy.
I also liked "It" by Stephen King, "Whatever Love Means" by David Baddiel, and Sunset by Rosie Thomas.

I'm reading The Host right now. For some reason, it's taking me three times renewing it from the library to finish the thing :p. 'Tis weird.

Hah, I hope you enjoy/are enjoying it.
Hopefully she wont make more books for it, I don't want it to end up like Twilight!

Hi TeaCake! I'm Starry!

Have you ever read Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston? Because one of the main characters is named Teacake, and I totally thought of him when I saw your username. If you haven't read it, you should, it's one of the more tolerable American classics, if you can stand romance and phoneticized accents.

Hi Starry :)
No I haven't but I'll take a look at it, since I'm not reading anything right now :P
