Craving
David Hontiveros
Lester and Anne thought that a vacation in a small and secluded town could ease the tension of the pregnancy, but they got more what they had bargained for. The horror begins with a sinister-looking peck of owls and the strange, disturbing dreams at night. And it all unravels into a nightmarish end no one could ever escape.
The minor problem with Craving was that it had been too short. Yes, it was clearly a novella, but it would've been more satisfying if it the story had gone on longer. The plot itself could carry out more than a hundred pages.
Nevertheless, it was a fast paced, chilling tale that you won't be able to put down until you got to the end.
So next time you see an owl by your house, make sure you have holy water ready in hand. Peace.
