This is a multi-option poll, so choose all that apply to you. What devices do you use for writing on a regular basis?

My laptop!
I named it The Batmobile
I cannot live without it.
I take it everywhere.
And I love it death.
I don't know what I would do is I lost it. O_o

I use two different desktop computers I share with my family, a notebook if a computer isn't around, and anything else I need to write down ideas when I'm not near paper or a computer.

I always use my laptop. Except when I'm punished from it. Like now. So I steal it back and use it in secrecy .

My new iMac is awesome, as I can fit two open windows on it at the same time. Now I can write my novel, WHILE looking at my notes without having to minimize one and maximize the other OVER AND FRIGGIN' OVER AGAIN to do so. But yeah, when I'm on a bus, waiting for half an hour to get get through traffic, random bits of paper often come in handy.

My baby laptop... *pets* I don't know what I would do without it. As awful as it is, actually. I think I'm demanding a Macbook when I go to college.

But yeah, when I handwrite, I go so slowly that it isn't even really worth it. I tend to formulate story ideas during the school day, so by the time I get home they're in a coherent enough form to be written.

Napkins, o' course!

How could anyone live without writing on napkins?

xD

I write on my family's desktop and in like a million notebooks and scraps of paper.

I'm getting a second-hand iBook laptop for Christmas though and I can't wait. Then I could write in my room on a chair that doesn't make my bum go stiff after ten minutes. :P

Do you have a desk chair? I used to have one... long ago, when I had a desk. Can't wait to move to my new house, then I can have a desk... with a desk chair! x)

No, at my desktop computer I have a foldable wooden diningroom chair . . . not exactly comfy.

In my room I have a sort of futon sofa thing that folds out as a bed. It's very comfy. :)

Weird... I know I posted here right in this spot, but apparently it didn't go through.

Anyway, same here. Usually what I can get my hands on are notebooks, looseleaf paper, computer paper, or the backs of old camp schedules (of which we literally have reams of).

I use my laptop that I got for my birthday! ^^ I love it!

And if it crashed. . . like it has three times already, I'd die.

Because this time, I wouldn't see it coming and I'd lose everything.

I start everything in notebooks on paper, and usually just transfer them to one of the two computers my family shares.

Haha, late reaction much?

Mm, chicken wings. Would they be applewood smoked chicken wings like at Chili's then? lol

Anyway, the good thing about that is you would be filthy rich and have a enormous fan base. Plus you could be a copyright whore :P.

I used the desktop computer we used to have for just us kids, because we used the comp so much my parents never got to use it! But then my dad got a laptop for work and my mum got a free one from Clawfire's dad, he works with computers. Then, the motherboard (don't ask me what it is) on the kids computer crashed and the kids comp doesn't work anymore so now we go on my mum's desktop computer. If I had a laptop, though, I would obviously use it.

I lose paper too easy so I only write on my laptop which would be a problem for most people because it's my brother's too but we get along so it's not too bad.

I tend to write on my laptop, because it is the fastest way for me. However I often get inspired in the middle of dinner so napkins are often my second choice of writing surface. (Infact, I once wrote an entire first draft of an english essay on a napkin; actually, 3 napkins to be exact).

My Lapper-Topper(laptop...<.<) ! I can't live without it in front of me. I can't live with myself if I don't write my novel each and every day... it just looks so sad. = ' ( It's name is Dragon.

I always use my laptop, and carry a pocket-sized notebook with me everywhere so I can jot down any, and I mean ANY, ideas I have concerning plot ideas, one liners, vocab, phrases etc

I just write on notebook paper. I've tried writing a bunch on the laptop or computer, but I always get distracted by something. On paper, I'll write for hours, completely absorbed in the world I'm writing. That's... probably why not much is on here. :P

Laptop, notebook, random bits of paper. I have one notebook for poems and one for stories at the moment, as well as a smaller one for whatever. I just got five more (single-subject, spiral bound, recycled, etc) notebooks because I've almost finished the poetry one. But for stories I prefer the laptop.

I like writing on paper, the way you feel what you are writing and connect with it more... but I've started using my netbook a look, and I'm starting to love it. The stories end up longer:)

Who doesn't love random bits of paper?
If I have an idea I have to write it down immediately, or I'll forget it because of my short term memory loss :D I also have a mini notebook I take with me at all times; it's like my life source. I'll also start randomly jotting down ideas in class, provided I don't get caught. And I do my main writing on the laptop :P

Writing makes my wrist hurt and I feel like I can't get all my ideas down (plus, let's face it: paper doesn't have spellcheck). I use the family laptop (everybody considers it as mine now though cuz I use it so much).
