Announcements on the First Page

Is there a way to make YWO's general announcements flash at the top of the home page? I've seen it on other forums, though never on vBulletin (to my memory). I don't have a problem with the current layout -- the announcements only appearing if you enter a sub-forum of the main page -- but I'm just pointing out that if you can do it, it'll be more convenient.

That's not a standard feature; it would require finding an addon.

We hardly ever do announcements, to be honest. In what way do you mean "convenient"? Faster? I think having it on the main page would just be unnecessary clutter.

Easier to notice.

But that makes sense also. You'd either have to make more announcements or alter it so it only appears for a week, and the time consumed probably isn't worth it.
