I think it was just a mess up of words. I think he just said the wrong word, meant Christian but said Muslim because they were talking about it.

Ugh. Zomb's right, why is that even news?!

I hate how there really isn't a seperation of politianss and politicians' religion. [so much for seperation of church and state]

Even if Barack was a Muslim, it does not automatically mean he is a terrorist.
I don't care what religion you are, as long as you have the stuff to turn the country around in the right direction you'll have my vote.

My friend at college showed me these videos. Whether or not Barack's a Muslim doesn't worry him. It's whether or not Barack lied about his religion that does. And seeing him slip up in things which people are already suspicious of just makes them more suspicious.

It's the fact that people would be so bothered by a Muslim Candidate that bothers me. But yea him lying about his religion would be horrible, either way, I don't think his lying.

He's not lying.

When he said, "My Muslim faith" he was trying to say it in the context of what people were saying about him.

Its not a big deal.

But people just love to call him a Muslim terrorist.

No matter what his faith its inconsequencial because if he says hes Muslim for the get-go the Primary is much much much closer, do what you can I guess, if he is Muslim and has been covering up I won't care on either front. He didn't do anything inherently illegal by it, so....

I don't see this as a big deal at all. I make verbal mistakes all the time. The guy has been linguistically sound, for the most part, this whole campaigns thus far. If Bush could get away with talking like a retard in every debate, I think one slip up is okay from Obama.

Edit: Sadly, if he were to announce that he was Muslim he would lose this race in a heartbeat. Americans are unfortunately still very weary of 9/11 and what it suggests to us as a "secure" nation.
