Contract Written and Website

I just wanted you all to know that we've finalized the contract and should be sending it out to all our current accepted authors on Monday. Expect them in your inboxes.

For everyone else: SUBMIT!

We will also be rolling out an official website for the magazine, mostly so we have it all organized in one place rather than in a little forum section on YWO. It'll end up being a link on the navbar too. Anywho!

Hmm, I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I'll ask anyway.

If you submit, will your real name be with your work in the magazine or will it be our usernames?

You can use a pen name, Lyk. You don't have to use your real name.

Good Good. I never use my real name on my work.

Sometimes I forget when I'm doing schoolwork and my teacher looks at me as if I'm bonkers . . .

We still need your real name for the contract, otherwise, well, then it's not even a legal contract, but for publication you can give us a pen name, so long as it is reasonable. No stupid names like Atlas Godkiller or Fungle McFizz. Zombie has a great pen name cause it's half his real name and then he came up with some other name for the other, and it sounds good (I like his real name, though, to be honest).

And we will NOT share your real name with anyone unless you want us to or if I accidentally slip it to my mother or something. We're not going to publicly say who you really are though, like on YWO by going "oh and Bob Johnson has a story in our new issue under the pen name blah blah", unless you tell us so.

Anyway, yeah its fun to use your real first name and change the last name.
Especially if you have a terrible last name and you hate it and you want to legally change it but if you do your parents will frown upon it and likely be unhappy with the choice you made even though the name you want sounds so much better than the crap one you actually have.

I just use Lykaios as the first name and then make up a second name. I don't like my second name much.
