IMPORTANT: Domain Name Transfer

YWO is approaching its first birthday (September 27). Yes, fun will be planned. :rolleyes:

However, it also means we must renew the domain name known as "youngwritersonline.net." Not the site's data. It won't be affected. Just the name. Because we are transferring our domain name to another registrar, the url "youngwritersonline.net" won't work for about a week.

What WILL work is our site's IP address. By accessing YWO directly through its IP, instead of its domain name, you will be able to avoid any downtime due to the transfer.

Here's our IP address. Write it down. Copy it somewhere. It's a link, and it works.

I intend to send out an email with this information as well. I'd like to do the transfer as soon as possible, probably within the next two weeks.

Why don't we establish a day, put it on the calendar, email people about it, put up an announcement, etc. That way everyone knows that on such and such day until around such and such, the site is going to be a little wonky and they should use the IP address.
