Which of the four seasons is the best? And why?

Hmm. Well, Winter it just snows a lot and all my dance and theatre stuff gets canceled. Summer is too hot. Spring is pretty good, but I think I have to go with Fall.

Summer because I get to go to camp and have fun! (I'm from NYC so I don't get the pretty trees or snow... *pouts*)

Autumn. Cause it's simply the best. Winter is too cold, Summer is too hot, and Spring just can't make up it's mind for weather.

But here we pretty much have all year round Autumn with two months of Spring. I don't think we ever really get Summer here, like other places get it.

I would usually say Winter as I love snow and wrapping up warm by the fire and Christmas and snowball fights . . . Etc.

But where I live now, there is no snow and we don't have a lovely open fire but horrible central-heating. :glare:

So I'll say Autumn a sit's my second. I love the colours of the trees and the feeling it brings. Also the word is nice and my birthday is also in Autumn. :)

Winter! I love the chilly months when you can curl up with a book, sit a your piano with a big hoody, or strum your guitar in a cozy sweater. I also love Christmas and New Years Eve. I love all the Christmas baking *drool* and New Years Eve is fun, I love staying up till midnight and writing down all my favorites of that year. Also Winter Solstice, I celebrate it with my family.

I put spring only because where I currently live that is the most beautiful time of year, in general. Fall can be nice, but to be honest I'm much more inclined to winter if there is snow involved. Or any time in western Washington where it rains a lot, cause it's always beautiful, much like northern Oregon (psst, remember Imelda?)

Autumn. Summer in England is pretty boring. And in Winter there's no snow ('cos it's England and England sucks) and everyone just gets ill. Spring is still cold for some reason. So, Autumn, seeing as it's never complicated and stupid and is not affected by it being Autumn in a country like England.

Autumn. Summer used to be my favorite (back in winter) but now as I'm sitting here sniffling my head off (stupid allergies) I've decided to go with fall. Warm days, cool nights, no nasty pollen... and I can ride my horses without sweating all to heck, freezing to death, or getting super muddy.

Winter is my LEAST favorite. Despite the seeming abundance of chocolate and fires in the wood stove, it's so freakin' cold here it just ruins it for me. If every year it would snow like mad and stay a constant 20 degrees F, everything would be fine because that's comfy for snowboarding, but no, it has to be -10 or below quite regularly! /rant

I have to go with Winter! Summer is to hot and even though Spring is the season I was born in it's too hot down where I live in the spring time. Autumn is alright but not cold enough for me.

Winter in Florida is like a break from all the other hot seasons the humidity all the rain(sometimes) and it's just COLD! I personally love the cold, and I've NEVER seen snow, well in pics yeah but never actually seen it and touched it. I hate Florida. Although I love the orange juice XD

Never seen snow really? Poor you . . . Although my favourite season is definitely Summer, I liked riding down the hill on sleighs with my friends in earlier days - when there was enough snow in Germany! For some years there is never enough snow to ride down the hill with a sleigh in Western Germany - per year there are always less than ten days with snow falling. The climate change managed that you can walk around without closing your jacket in German winters (except for Bavaria).

Spring, I think. Just because it has all types of weather and you get a bit of everything. I like all the other seasons though. I live in Chicago so our seasons are pretty distinguished, so you learn to love'em equally.

In autumn the weather is so great, its cold, yet not to cold, the sky is normally clear blue, the leaves, its kinda exciting going to school, homecoming week, and its my best friends birthday :D Many other awesome reasons too.

Well, I agree with you. Autumn is the only nice season here in Aussieland. Winter just rains, so it's boring -- we don't get snow; spring is already too warm; and summer is way too hot. Luckily, though, we get dry summers, not humid ones. When I went last year to America for my uncle's wedding, it was sooo humid!

Winter. All though I'm a summer baby, I absolutely love winter. Maybe that's just my Canadianism? Eh. SEE?!?! I said 'eh'. And again! The snow is so pretty when it is drifting down in giant fluffy clumps, so very slow! Makes me all warm and fuzzy just thinking about it! Also great for writing, winter. Autumn. I love the chilled winds, the leaves, and just the whole atmosphere, except when it rains. :mad: Plus it is soccer season. :P

Autumn, for school, perfect weather, beauty, etc.... although I don't go in for Halloween and my birthday's in winter. It's also when the students come back to my college town, so it's great for writing.
Spring comes second. The trouble is that spring is always too cold or too hot, and if yesterday was too hot and bright then today will be cold, rainy, and flooded. The flooding is interesting.

I love when winter is FINALLY over and the flowers bloom and add some COLOR to the world. I also love the rain and the sound it makes. I really hate the mud and the worms though, and I don't much care for going out in it (unless I WANT to get wet).

Winter, even though Autumn is beautiful and has good weather, I like the wind; it is rare to get good, strong winds in Autumn. In late Winter, when the cold is ebbing away, you can smell the spring in the winds too, have you noticed that?

Winter is really pretty because of the snow and the bare trees, but it's so wet and cold. Spring is okay because it takes us out of winter, but it still rains. Summer is nice because we don't have school and we get to swim, but I don't like the heat and all the bugs. Fall is my favorite season because even though school starts and it get chilly, the colorful leaves are still beautiful and it's daytime when I walk to school.
