Link Buttons Now Have Referrer IDs

Another tiny update.

If you've ever used any of our Link Buttons (http://www.youngwritersonline.net/links.php) on your blog or a website to link to YWO, this update is for you. If you're logged in, all the buttons on that page will now contain your member number.

If you put one of these updated buttons on your site, and another person clicks it, browses the forum for a little while, then registers, your username will automatically appear in their referral box. And once they join, your referral count will go up.

You don't even have to tell them your username. It will appear automatically. :)

I encourage everyone who currently uses the buttons to update them. And if you haven't linked to us yet, please do so. And to everyone who's gotten one or more referrals, thank you!

I use wordpress, so what I ended up doing was putting this in the URL box:

http://www.youngwritersonline.net/?referrerid=14

and this in the image source box:

http://www.youngwritersonline.net/images/links/80_15_logo_blue.gif

Will that still work? It looked like it worked, but I'm not sure.

Yes, it will work.

And if you want to be sure, clear all your cookies, click the link on your blog, and go through registering up until you see the referral box.
