Thoughts? Comments? Yea or nay? Anyone seen it yet?

Ugh, I saw adverts for this in the cinema. My instant thought: "What... the fuck? What is the damn point?" It looks exactly the same except animated. It's just a big cash-in. The series has ended and the money isn't coming in too big anymore, so they want more. Load of crap.
I thought something similar, that a 6-part series was a smooth way to finish it, and now they add a single animated movie somewhere in the middle.
I haven't seen it, but I'm guessing the CGI should let them have faster lightsaber battles, right?

I haven't seen it, and won't. From the commercials I've seen, it looks like, what Shadow said, a remake only animated. Every time I see a trailer for it, I have to resist the urge to laugh.

Ya, the only upside I can see would be the battle sequences, but after the fight between Anakin and Obi-wan at the end of the 3rd, who needs better action sequences. And the fact that it's CGI makes it much less impressive anyway.

Hey, I went to see it personally. That's how bored I was. BUT, I thought it was a really stupid movie. All the characters sounded like robots to me. They tried to throw in a bunch of droid humor. Like, the stupid droids that always die so easy. But it was so stupid. I would advise all of you not to see it. The movie was simply whack.

Ooh, ratings not good. Lucas, just stop right now.

Ah, don't base the stats off of "yahoo"! Go to rottentomatoes.com
So much better.

You know that, if you look at the book series, the series is actually 9 parts, not 6? The last three are about Han and Leia's children, apparently. (I haven't read them, but a friend of mine has.) They just decided not to make them into movies.
As for the Clone Wars movie, yes it's stupid and ridiculous, yes they should have just ended the movies where they were, but hey, I'll probably go see the movie anyway, just for the entertainment value. Why not?

Lucas, just stop right now.
Funny that the guy in your avatar is called Lucas. And sucks on Brawl.

Straying a bit from the topic... There are a lot of books. They go up to fourty years after the original movie was made.

Meh, sci fi needs to come out with a new movie. I mean, star wars was great and all. But its too drawn out. Come up with some new crap. Like the spirit. Which will be kick ass.

... Lucas is the best character... just ask Scotty. he trembles in fear every time he sees that I've chosen Lucas :P
...where is Scotty?
and I have no intention of seeing the Clone Wars either, at first when I heard they were making an animated star wars movie I wasn't interested but I thought that they could make it cool because with an animated movie you could actually continue from RotJ and I could see where it goes from there (I'm sorry... i just won't read the books... those don't interest me as much...) but then they just made it Anakni, and the clone wars again, and some cheetah girl... and they looked like puppets.... they literally look like Lucas made the merchandise action figures for the film before hand and then just placed those toys as the actors... at least from the previews... maybe it turns out to be some hideous puppet curse that they all have to break and in the end they come back to looking... not puppety.

Meta Knight pwnzors Lucas' ass anyday. If I could use internet on my Wii, I'd show you the mad skills MK has.

Meta Knight!!!???
NO!
Lucas!
and I don't have internet at home yet either :(... Scotty will vouch for me :)
Link, Lucas, Marth, Pikachu, Kirby. top five... off the top of my head, let me think.
I can't think right now, so I'll leave those five up.

Meta Knight IS Kirby, only with a primary attack that can get on both sides. Thus, he is better than Kirby. Link and Marth are good all-round characters. BUT Lucas?

I really think it's sad that they made that movie, a bad Star Wars game came here and there can be forgiven and easily dismissed. On the other a bad Star Wars movie is unforgivable. I know the latter three books that starryskyes refers to, they were written by George Lucas before the movies were made. My mom read them. If they're going to make any Star Wars movies, they should make those ones. Not this two hour bit of shame that will drag down the reputation of the serries.

They were...? I read them, but didn't know that. Hm.

Well, on the subject of "star wars" I think their new coming soon will be good. Thats what the critics say. "Star Wars: the force unleashed" But, I agree with penguine, it was a horrible mistake to make that animated piece of crap.

At long last, Lucas has decided to switch to CGI. I just kneeewww he would try something like that.
Anyways has anyone read the New Jedi Order novels? They rock!
