Top Poster Bookstore Points Awards!

This little thing has been mentioned already, but Andy and I thought it would be good to put up a post that explained this more and to make sure you all know about it.
First, what is it?
Okay, we're going to give points away at the end of this month for whomever has the highest amount of posts for this month. There will be 5 positions that get points:
1st - 50
2nd - 40
3rd - 30
4th - 20
5th - 10

Another note. When you look at the stats, which are located on the navbar under Quick Links, you can see that Andy and I are really high on the list. Admins are NOT eligible to receive an award. Period. It doesn't matter how many posts we have. We can't win anything. All points go to our members because we love you :). Okay, maybe not because we love you, but just to show our appreciation to you for being active members.
Later on there will be other awards too for those who post the most over a certain number of months. But for now, that's what you can expect. This will be an every month thing!

Yes it is! If someone posts in that thread, then they increase their post count! Therefore, it's totally related!

It's all a matter of perspective. I did wear orange today, and the sky is blue. Now I should stop posting here.

Points allow you to buy from the bookstore. It's sort of a way to reward people for critiquing other people's works. So you have 25ish points Rafael. Look up top for Bookstore and start browsing. There are all sorts of books there, and if you don't see something that you think should be there, there is a thread to make suggestions!

I would like to point out that these are virtual books, and you cannot read them. You can't touch them either. They just look good. Why do we buy them? Why do we play games like Second Life? Not that I play Second Life--my parents would kill me--but people do play that game.

Oh, GRRM read an excerpt on Second Life. That must be why.

When did I get 50 points? -confused- I thought I only had 30. Oh well. That's still not enough to buy another virtual book.

EDIT: Is it possible for us to be able to change the order in which the books appear in our personal library?

Just a quick note everybody. November is ending pretty quick here, which means more points to issue out for the top posters of the month. Two days could end up changing a lot in the top five though! It's a relatively close race.

well people need to start writing non-fantasy, I enjoy reading it to an extent but I'm not a fan of critting it. I've critted a decent amount of realistic fiction and poems though >.<

The problem with realistic fiction is that I have no idea how to write it. Seriously. No idea. All the plots that pop into my head involve fantasy. Maybe I should read more realistic fiction, but then again -- I don't like reading realistic fiction. Shoot.
