Tsuki and I were talking about this serious problem, and we both agree that when you thank someone, you should be allowed to comment. Then, you can tell them it's you, or say something random about how something helped you. Or you can slit their throats, say you hat them, etc.
Since thanking is positive, I can't see why thanking comments would not be positive.

As Carr said, we both agree on this.
I'm still trying to figure out why there's a space for comments, yet we can't comment.
I want to be able to tell them thank you and that it was me!

I agree with Car, though I would have been much more hesitant when this site got started. A lot of people didn't like it that we split from another forum and made our own writing site. There were a lot of issues with troublemakers back then.
I'm willing to give this idea a shot.

Even if you thank someone with a negative comment, you're still adding to their thanks. xD

Well, if he doesn't agree, just show him the quote, and it should magically change his mind.
