View Full Version : Best Bad Guys
In all the TV shows, movies, video games, and books you've seen, which bad guys stand out as the best? The most original, the nastiest, the most intriguing, most memorable?

Darth Vader - Movie
Sephiroth- Games
... Mr. Heckles (Friends) - TV :P
and just for the hell of it
Voldemort- Books...
Now keep in mind that was with absolutely no thought at all, just completely the first things off of the top of my head :) I could come up with nastier villains like Nurse Ratchet I'm sure, but I'll stick with those for now :P

In order to be really, really bad he'd have to bascially be the devil, right?

The dude from No Country for Old Men.
If you've seen it, you know what I am talking about.

This quarter was made in 1952, it's traveled 17 years to get here and now it's here and it's either heads or tails, so call it.
Damn Zombie is right, Anton Chigurgh is excellently evil

The Baddie of all time: that would have to be the devil. He's definitely the nastiest, most evil, disgusting, screwed-up, annoying, most powerful creep there is. And he's deceptive too. Anyone who thinks he has horns, red skin, a beard, goat legs and a tail is severely mistaken. He's literally equipped with drop-dead looks and this aura of 'good' and 'innocence' about him. He was the highest-ranking angel, to boot. (Ever wonder why stealing that cookie or drinking and driving is so appealing even though it's not good? ^^)
Anyways, yeah...burn in hell, Satan.

I would pull all villains from GRRM's books, except they're not really villains, because he writes in shades of gray. But that just makes them more awesome.
-teeters around for a moment-
See, the problem about "most memorable" is that I can't think of anything else. This series has blinded me. I'll come later when I think of something.

Soulja Boy. :P
Umm the most villianous villain I can think of right now is...
Voldemort.

Hahahahaha!
Ichigo, you are hilarious.
I really wanted to put, Oprah or Kanye West...but they aren't fictional...

Circe in A Great and Terrible Beauty
and
Renji in Bleach...but then he turns out to be good...right?
Light in Death Note
Saint Dane in Pendragon. He's so classic... and very devious. Just when you think you know his plan... Whammo!
But my favorite-est villain ever is Scar in Fullmetal Alchemist. He's good, he's evil, he's good, he's evil, he's... ^^

Pfft if we are talking about voices here, then Christopher Lee beats everyone!
Count Dooku (Star Wars)
Saruman (Lord of the Rings)
Now that son on of a bitch has a cool voice!

Books: Meh, I dunno, Voldemort?

Saw it. Hated it.
He was pretty damn smart though.
Morgan Freeman in Wanted. That movie was BADASS. :D
If you haven't seen it, go see it. It's great.

Frances Dolarhyde
Buffalo Bill
Hannibal Lector.
I have made my case.
Ichigo

Jigsaw from Saw!
[rawr]
But you could pretty much say any horror movie then...
HANNIBAL!? BUT HE'S ADORABLE! In the movie I mean. And cause I watched to movie first, I now imagine that beautiful face every time I read one of the books.

Hannibal is my hero. Best character ever.
And therefore, the best evil character ever. Because he's freaking sweet!

It used to be Darth Vader... and he had been number one for over thirty years. Heath Ledger has just replaced him :)
Yes, the Joker was the greatest piece of acting I have ever seen.
He is number one, no competition.

AHHH!!! YOU'RE RIGHT!!!!
Joker wins.
Heath Ledger =

No, I just know that it's going to be amazing.
I know that Heath Ledger, may he RIP, will be God.
I just know this. xD

Without a doubt Sephiroth from the final fantasy games.
A good second is Saint Dane from the Pendragon books.

Wow, I didn't even think of Sephiroth. He's a good one.
Still.
HEATHLEDGER!!!!!!

Just saw the stupid Batman movie...
It wasn't bad...and Heath Ledger's Joker wasn't really that EVIL.
So he doesn't really belong in this list...
But I got another evil villain for you all!
Freddy Krueger.
Corny, yes...but thats one evil mother fucker!

Freddy was the star of my first horror... :)
The joker--Heatch ledger, RIP

Sephy is definitely more of a baddie. He's more powerful than Darth Vader (face it, anime-haters. Darth couldn't call down a meteor on Earth like Sephy could), he's just as sinister as Voldemort (I mean, ever seen him standing in that wreckage of this village he destroyed) he's hotter - to girls - than Heath Ledger and he's got brains too.
Satan's still a bigger baddie than him, though. (Books were allowed in this thread, and so I took mine off the Bible. :P)

Vader could force choke the crap out of Sephy :P

Axel is awesome. Who else? Most of the Potter villains. Voldemort was pretty bad ass. And I love Snape so he gets a spot.
Ooh! That girl from The Ring! Samora? Ack, scary. But she was just lonely in the end :).
And the dudes from Gothica (if you haven't seen if, check it out). I won't give it away but the things they did... frightening.
EDIT: I think Somora's are Girlscout cookies with the coconut and carmel...

From childhood, my favorite villian was Sailor Galaxia.
Now....
The Joker
Mr. Dark
Hannibal Lecter

Ummmm...yeah. I don't think anyone using the Force has got anything on Sephy. It'll take nothing less than a full Omnislash to finish him off, and even then, Sephy's got other forms. The guy can cause a building to crumble just by thinking of it. Ever seen Advent Children? He raises a hand and a hurricane forms. Not the kind of guy to fall to a mere android. :P

Sorry, Raf, but though Sephy is completely bad-ass, he does not beat the Joker. That was the most brilliant acting ever and the Joker himself kicked ass.
Rafael Domination
11-27-2008, 07:42 PM
In terms of acting, Joker wins. But in terms of who can kill a person more horribly and still torture them after said person is dead? Sephy. That's why he scares me more. :D
If Sephy and the Joker had a baby, though, that would be beyond horrifying.

11-27-2008, 07:59 PM
Even the thought is damn well messed up. :D And I don't just like the Joker for his acting, he doesn't have ANY powers and he still manages to kick ass in style. Sephy just seems to be "blow everything up" style, whereas the Joker uses his brain and makes up a totally awesome plan that doesn't require him to get into a fight there may be a chance of him losing. And he always has a back-up. He's like an evil, physically twisted Jack Sparrow.

T.V show: CELL from Dragonball Z he was so powerful and the best in the series:D
Movies: Darth Vader, I love the whole tragic hero theme and Darth Vader is deffiently a classic tragic hero.
Video games: Kain from the "legacy of kain series" and "soul reaver series" Kain was cool the way he just rose from a hunted vampire in the slumbs to a ruler of an entire race.
Books: the white witch from the NARNIA books AND WHY NOT???:P

Wow, Carlton, those are some bad asses.
Especially Kain.
Hehe.
But there are some villains that just are so evil you APPLAUD when they die.
Mrs. Carmody from The Mist.
Oooooh, EVIL, EVIL, bitch.
How about Al Pacino's portrayal of Satan in "The Devil's Advocate".
Now THAT was a good acting performance AND a classic villain.
I mean come on, he raped his son's wife!

I'm sorry but I must point out the fact that Snape was probably one of the least 'evil' characters in the entire Harry Potter series.... anyone who has read the last book knows what I mean.
My top baddies are probably:
Books - I guess I'm gonna say Voldemort.
Movies - Joker
Games - Probably Axel or Ganondorf.
Then again, I'm not in an overly thoughtful mood right now, so there are probably some I've missed but, as it stands, the above three.

I just watched the Mist. And I agree. That Mrs. Carmody inspires fury in me that can only be described as murderous to the point of combustion. I'm almost insulted even a made-up character like that associated herself with my religion. In fact feel like beating up the next imbecile I see acting like. :D
