Downtime June 26-7, 2008

YWO was down for the past 24 hours. What was supposed to be a small security update turned into a big problem when my internet connection stopped right in the middle of the update. Not only did the forum's large stash of data get damaged, but the software used to modify the forum's data was broken as well.

Luckily I backed up everything before attempting the update. Everything should be fixed now, including the security update which caused this whole mess. :D If anyone happens to find anything that's not working properly, please tell me.

This is what happens when you let amateurs fiddle with coding. If it had been me I wouldn't have left the site in as good of condition. I'd have fried the host's servers too! Come on, Andy, learn how to screw things up properly...sheesh!

I was all on and happy. Then I went to facebook, only to come back and see YWO was down.
Same thing happened today when I realized it was up again!

It's a conspiracy, I swear. Thursday I had a baseball game (so I couldn't get on here), Friday the site's down, and today I have a baseball tournament.

I checked at back here at least 20 times on Friday, and each time I hoped it would be back online.
Finally it is and I have to leave, EVIL!

I was so disappointed yesterday morning when I found that YWO was down. I was disappointed the entire day, too, although I did get some editing done...
