Upgrade Happens Thurs/Fri

This upcoming Thursday and Friday, I have off from work, and Shaun and I will spend the time upgrading to vBulletin 3.7.

This forum will have several new features, which I will quickly try to make usable or disable, depending on if they're totally unnecessary. :rolleyes:There are also many things I will need to re-add. I've prepared a list of everything that needs to be done, and I'll post it and cross things off as they get done. So if you ever wonder: "Where did ------ go?!" It means I probably haven't gotten around to it yet. :)

A lot of you are probably worried about what the site will look like. As I mentioned before, I will try to make it available in multiple colors, although it will take time. Initially, everyone will be forced to use blue, until I can make the gray one (a few hours at most).

Here (http://img106.imageshack.us/img106/7962/ywonew3jj7.gif) is a preview of the finished look. As you can see, the only major difference is the top. Please don't nitpick over text and stuff. It was made in Photoshop, and tiny things like font will be different. The colors and layout, however, are accurate.

Here is a timetable of what will happen and when.
Sometime Thursday: The forum will be disabled while we upgrade to 3.7
30 to 60 minutes later: Default blue design uploaded, Community/Literature/Store links added. The forum will be enabled so you can use it.
5 minutes later: Work on gray design begins. You will be able to use the gray design as it is worked on.
An hour later: Work on gray design finished. I will make versions of the blue and gray style with fixed and fluid (http://www.netstarter.com.au/Content_Common/pg-fixed-width-versus-fluid-design.seo) width, so there will be four designs available.After that, I will make sure the forum has all the features that it lost in the upgrade. Also, if there are any things about the forum's look which a lot of people would like to change, they will be done then.

Oh and everyone, we need a new logo! There's a thread for it stickied to the top in the Common Room :D.

Edit: Can you make sure to put lines between the top three link things? I just want to make sure when you put it up and put those in that there is at least some separation until we get something else going on.

The upgrade happens tomorrow, everyone. I'll naturally back up everything beforehand. I have to go to an insurance appointment in the morning (it starts ~15 hours from now), but when I return, and when I'm not distracted, we'll get started.
