The title says it all: what's your favorite band(s) and song(s)?

Basically, the music I love can fall into one of three categories:

1. Broadway Musicals (PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, Cats, Evita, Sunset Boulevard, Les Miz, Wicked, etc.)
2. Classical Piano (Esp. romantic stuff, like Rachmaninoff)/Orchestra/Violin (Joshua Bell)
3. Damn Amazing Tenors and etc. that sing in Italian (Andrea Bocelli, IL DIVO (<3), etc.)

I don't think any of these classify as bands, but yeah, that's what I listen to.

I've seen half of those plays, all of which I liked. And I think I got the whole rebellion idea for my story from Les Mis. Almost forgot that. :) I like classical stuff too, but I don't listen to it as much as other music. Usually it's just for setting the mood for writing.

I happen to like far too many bands and such to create a list...:D

Goodness, I've seen some great stuff already!
By the way, Wicked is the most awesome musical ever! Then there's Avenue Q and Urinetown. Both fantastic!

But as for bands, like actual people that play guitars or whatever and not people like Mozart and Beethoven (who are both fantastic composers), here goes:

My Chemical Romance
Saosin
In This Moment
Queen
Bon Jovi
The Higher
Nightwish

That's all I can think of right now. It's hard to say a favorite band because favorite implies that you like a lot of their music. There are loads and loads of bands that I like a couple songs from. Not so many that I really enjoy almost all of their music. Right now those are just the ones I'm actually listening to frequently.

And don't ask me to pick favorite songs :S

I've got some Nightwish stuff, but only two songs. Both of which seem apocalyptic. And both which ere bought because I heard them on youtube. :)

Their newest album is very good. It's not really apocalyptic in the new one, very symphonic and beautiful. it's sad though because their lead singer left and they had to get a new girl. I don't know why she left though :(
